Öhlins DTC takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and complies stringently with the provisions of the applicable data protection legislation. On this website, personal data is collected only to the extent that this is technically necessary. Under no circumstances shall we sell any of the data we collect or share this information with third parties for any other reasons.

The following declaration provides an overview of how we guarantee the protection we provide and which type of data is collected for which purpose.

Data Processing on this Website

Öhlins DTC collects and automatically archives in its server logfiles information your browser communicates to us. This information consists of the following:

  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server inquiry

These data cannot be allocated to certain individuals by Öhlins DTC. These data are not merged with other data sources. Moreover, these data are deleted once the statistical analysis is complete.

Öhlins DTC protects your personal data against unauthorized access, use or publication. Öhlins DTC ensures that your personal information saved on the server is located in a controlled, secure environment, where unauthorized access and publication is prevented.

Sharing of Your Data

Öhlins DTC does not share your personal data with any third parties, unless your information is required to process the business transaction (e.g. for the shipment of goods). The shared data shall be restricted to the absolute minimum in such cases. However, if Öhlins DTC should be mandated by law or a court order to share your data, we shall share your data only with the government institutions and agencies entitled to the information.

Integration of YouTube Videos

We have integrated YouTube videos into our website presentation, which are archived on http://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. All of these videos are integrated into the “expanded data protection mode,“ i.e. none of your data is transferred to YouTube, unless you actually play the videos. If you play one of the videos, the data specified in Section 2 will be transferred. We do not have any control over this data transfer.

When you visit the website, YouTube is notified that you have accessed the respective page on our website. Moreover, the above specified data will be transmitted. This happens regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account you have logged into or whether you do not have a user account. If you have logged into Google, your data is directly allocated to your account. If you do not want your information to be allocated to your YouTube profile, you must log out before your activate the button. YouTube archives your data in the form of usage profiles and utilizes the information for promotional or market research purposes and/or for the needs adequate design of its website. Such an analysis is conducted in particular (even if the user is not logged in) to post needs adequate ads and to brief other users of the social network on your activities on our website.
