HRC-Honda tested ÖHLINS shocks - for 2010?

Andrea Dovizioso in conversation with ÖHLINS and HRC technicians
September 8, 2009 Brno / Misano - On monday after the Brno Grand Prix the official HRC Honda MotoGP team has already tested the first time ÖHLINS fork and shock absorber. While the four-cylinder of the Honda RC 212 V has more than enough power the pilots, Daniel Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso,are not confident with the chassis of their bikes. After the first tests HRC technicians and pilots were impressed. After discussion with HRC and the existing equipment company (SHOWA) it was decided to take Andrea Dovizioso at home Grand Prix at Misano on the Swedish spring and shock elements. The Italian was fourth there, and was very satisfied: "I was able to attack also at the very end. If we have more experience, certainly better reauslts are possible. "Insider information to follow the HRC Honda team could start in the 2010 season with two pilots on ÖHLINS suspension. After the teams from Yamaha (Rossi, Lorenzo), Ducati (Stoner, Hayden) and Suzuki (Capirossi, Vermeulen) Honda would be the fourth and final factory team that relies on ÖHLINS components.
